CEC Software Patent Consultation 2000 Submissions: BILETA

BILETA, The British and Irish Law, Education and Technology Association, expresses doubts about the wisdom of making software patentable and about the impartiality of the patent offices and others engaged in the consultation process. Demands that the EU should sponsor research into the impact of extending patentability, and that much of this research effort should be directed to research in problems of law practise.
