CEC Software Patent Consultation 2000 Submissions: Darche

Marc-Aurèle Darche, Paul Rousset, Armell Darche, Jeanine Buard, Christiane Darche. A group of software developpers against swpat because (1) the examination process does not work and cannot be expected to work any time soon (2) in a domain like software you will get huge numbers of trivial and broad patents (3) copyright is better adapted to promote software innovation. Europe will be dominated if it follows the US. If it takes the lead against swpat, it will on the contrary attract investments while the others spend their money on patent portfolio managment and litigation.
