Moreover, the EPO's way of twisting the law to suit the purpose of granting more patents cannot be tolerated. Although the author does not believe in the opensource or free software gospel, he cannot help to agree that the software patent system as it has been introduced by the EPO harms software development and puts small entities at an unfair disadvantage.
